Protecting Drone Navigation from GPS Spoofing and Meaconing Attacks

Core engineering and protocols for GNSS Anti-Spoofing & PNT.

The Rise of Battlefield and Civilian GPS Spoofing

Electronic warfare systems routinely emit falsified GPS signals, deceiving drone autopilots into drifting off course, crashing into terrain, or landing in hostile territory. UAVTPM interfaces directly with modern multi-constellation GNSS receivers, verifying cryptographic digital signatures embedded in civil satellite signals (such as Galileo Open Service Navigation Message Authentication).

Sensor Fusion Integrity and Automated Recovery

If UAVTPM detects that incoming GPS signals lack valid cryptographic signatures or diverge from onboard optical flow and inertial measurement unit (IMU) telemetry, it flags a navigation spoofing event to the flight controller, initiating autonomous return-to-home or visual-inertial landing protocols.
